A new swim course, transition area at Nieporęt Port, and a modified bike course - all await the participants of this year's Citi Handlowy IRONMAN 70.3 Warsaw. Triathlon excitement in the capital city is just around the corner, from June 9th to 11th!

In 2023, the starting location will change, and consequently, the swim course of the Citi Handlowy IRONMAN 70.3 Warsaw will be different. The organizers have established a closer partnership with the Municipality of Nieporęt and moved the T1 Transition Zone to Nieporęt Port.

This change will shorten the travel time for athletes to reach Lake Zegrzyński, where the competition traditionally begins. Thanks to our cooperation with SKM Warszawa, we will once again offer participants comfortable and safe transportation from Warsaw to Nieporęt in just 30 minutes. Together with our partner, we are preparing special free trains for participants of Citi Handlowy IRONMAN 70.3 Warsaw and Citi Handlowy 5150 Warsaw. Participants can also take advantage of regular connections provided by the carrier on this route. Nieporęt Port also offers well-organized spaces with additional attractions such as a brine graduation tower and a large playground for children. Additionally, there is a shop and a restaurant on-site.

The swim competition will still take place in Lake Zegrzyński, but at a new location. This change will allow participants to experience completely new emotions and see this popular reservoir from a different perspective.

The change in the swim location and T1 Transition Zone also necessitated adjustments to the bike course. The section in the Wołomin County will be extended. Athletes will ride a portion of the regional road No. 629 towards Radzymin for the first time. Due to the construction of tram tracks to Wilanów and other renovations, the bike course section in Warsaw will be shortened. Participants will turn back before the Poniatowski Bridge and enter the T2 Transition Zone located on the side field of Polonia Warszawa.

The previous year's running course will be maintained, leading through the historic part of Warsaw, including Miodowa Street and Krakowskie Przedmieście. The finish line and the entire triathlon village will be located at the Multimedia Fountain Park.

Citi Handlowy IRONMAN 70.3 Warsaw, along with accompanying events, will take place from June 9th to 11th, 2023. The sporting excitement will kick off on Friday late evening with the Night Run Warsaw, where participants will embark on a short, 5-kilometer route at 11:00 PM. On Saturday, there will be kids' runs at the Multimedia Fountain Park, and the main triathlon competition on the IRONMAN 70.3 and Olympic distances will take place on Sunday, June 11th. The organizers predict record-breaking attendance in the event's history, with participants from over 60 different countries around the world.
